The Problem: Why the Trinity Luts are needed.
In 2022, Trinity Luts entered into initial development because of the need to provide a solution to monitor, convert and color grade S-Log 3. However, the most noticeable conflict in the sony community is the mass uncertainty of how to properly expose without compromising image quality. No trustworthy monitoring LUT solution existed for a new Sony Cine user that would align with Sonys exposure reccomedations while also displaying a beautiful image on the back of the screen. If decent monitoring LUTS were available, they would never fully convert the image properly when applied in post-production. So the olde way of doing things was to use a monitoring LUT, a conversion LUT, and a finishing LUT. However, I knew there is a better and faster way to use only one LUT to monitor, convert, and even bake into the image while maintaining perfect color clarity. A quicker more reliable method of getting the perfect exposure in camera and in post-production.

The Solution: What the Trinity Luts are for.
The Trinity Luts are a collection of 7 unique LUTS that were hand-crafted in DaVinci Resolve Studio to reproduce a theatrical highlight roll. Monitor exposure on your Sony FX3 and then convert that same footage with the same LUT. Adjust the white balance if you do not get it right in camera, tweak additional exposure if you missed it, and you're done. A true one-click solution for experts.

The Creation: How the Trinity Luts were forged.
Our testing and research phase resulted in a total of close to 200 hours. After testing saturation curves, hue curves, luma curves, shadows, highlights, mid-tones, skin tones, and exposure levels, out of the smoke emerged a legacy of Trinity Luts.
